This engagement has comprised development of a technology strategy, outsourcing a range of commodity IT services, reforming the internal service model and uplifting the capabilities and structure of the internal IT team. The client is a mature firm with a strong reputation in their industry. While no major IT incidents had been experienced, the technology suite was highly dated, business practices were compromised as a result and the internal IT group had developed a reputation for blocking, rather than supporting, business innovation. Working directly for the CEO and CFO and embedded within the existing IT team, Lueur is providing consultancy, advisory, change management and program oversight. The IT team are moving from tactical cost and risk minimisers to business enablers and technical innovators. Vendors have been engaged through a highly collaborative process to allow commodity services to be outsourced, leveraging their specialist technical expertise to deliver a future focussed operating model.
